wnas (88.1 fm) has been broadcasting live since may 1949. first fm student-run high school radio station licensed federal communications commission (fcc). wnas student-run high school radio station of new albany high school , floyd central high school in southern indiana. station s call letters reflect ownership new albany floyd county school corporation. in 1980, corporation began broadcasting wnas-tv.
management
jerry weaver served general manager 1960 1969, followed later lee kelly held post 1973 2013. jason flener, former assistant principal nahs, , former wnas student staff member, replaced kelly beginning in 2013–2014 school year.
studio
recently, floyd central completed entire renovations of tv , radio studios. these studios considered many local tv , radio personalities better own. sarah jordan of 99.7 wdjx told students @ floyd central, become part of radio/tv program because stuff using lot better have.
