in summer 2009, colombia has extended existing tobacco control regulations requiring indoor work places , public places smoke-free; prohibiting tobacco advertising, promotions , sponsorship, , use of terms such ‘light’ , ‘mild’ on packaging, requiring large, pictorial health warnings on tobacco packaging (covering 30 per cent of front , back) within year, preventing sale of tobacco products minors; , mandating public education programs on deadly effects of tobacco use.
