on return spain, established congregation of missionary sons of immaculate heart of mary (the claretians) on feast of our lady of mount carmel (july 16, 1849), , founded great religious library @ barcelona called librería religiosa (now llibreria claret ). pope pius ix gave approval congregation on december 22, 1865.
