designed arde in 1972, 105 mm indian field gun india s first indigenously designed artillery piece , became mainstay of army s field artillery after being introduced.
pinaka multi barrel rocket launcher
the pinaka multi barrel rocket launcher developed drdo indian army. development began in 1983. army had felt need weapon system neutralize targets @ ranges exceeding 30 km. meet demand, pinaka mbrls developed. project major program involving several drdo labs, public , private sector firms. 1 of first major projects involving private sector. l&t , tata have been given orders worth rs. 390 crores
the system comprises free-flight artillery rocket different types of warheads & fuzes, multi-tube launcher vehicle, replenishment-cum-loader vehicle, replenishment vehicle , command post vehicle. system capable of firing in salvo mode within 48 sec, neutralizing area of 700 x 500 m. pinaka used in kargil war against fortified pakistani positions in mountains. army has placed order 6 regiments, 1 operational.

arjun mbt
the arjun mbt s 120 mm main gun rifled gun developed , tested arde use arjun tank. gun 1 of few rifled tank guns in modern tanks (the challenger 2 tank uses rifled gun). capable of firing rounds @ velocities on 1650 m/s, , can sustain pressures of 612 mpa.
arde has developed ammunition system gun, fsapds being primary kinetic energy round used. arjun can use heat, hesh , other rounds, being able fire lahat anti-tank missile armament , ammunition system under current production @ ofb.
drdo 155 mm artillery gun
a drdo project develop 155 mm 45 calibre indigenous howitzer.
