thompson born in petaluma, california on june 29, 1974 joseph carl fleischman , mary peirce (mariah perkins).

education

thompson went college @ university of california, berkeley graduating in 1997 undergraduate degree: bachelor of arts in cognitive science.

she attended graduate school in brain , cognitive sciences @ university of rochester receiving master’s degree in 2001 , ph.d. in 2003 in brain , cognitive sciences.

from 2003 2005, thompson did post-doctoral research teaching fellowship @ university of new south wales school of psychology, in sydney, australia.

career

after completing summer research fellow @ university of rochester, department of brain , cognitive science in 2005, thompson assistant professor of psychology @ hobart , william smith colleges in geneva, ny august 2005 august 2007.

in september 2007, thompson became associate professor of psychology @ monroe community college, department of psychology, academic research interests branched psychology of eating , positive psychology, , developed courses in 2 subjects. started teaching psychology of eating , body image in 2008 , positive psychology in 2009, tenured in 2013 , continued @ monroe until june, 2016.

in spring of 2016, thompson became adjunct associate professor in department of brain , cognitive science @ university of rochester.

in fall of 2014, thompson founded bright line eating solutions, llc, 8-week online weight loss program based on psychology , neuroscience 4 core principles, called bright lines, of eating no sugar, no flour, @ meals, , bounded quantities. thompson has been ceo since 2014.

in 2015, thompson became president of board of institute sustainable weight loss.
