the leiothrix 6 inches in length, olive green, , has yellow throat orange shading on breast. has dull yellowish ring around eye extends beak. edges of wing feathers brightly colored yellow, orange, red , black , forked tail olive brown , blackish @ tip. cheeks , side of neck bluish gray color. female lot paler male , lacks red patch on wings. doesn t fly frequently, except in open habitats. bird active , excellent singer secretive , difficult see.
