the plant grows 120 cm (47 in) stout, hairy stem , clasping, lance-shaped leaves entire margins. flower heads showy yellow disc florets @ center , ray florets range deep purple or rose white.


this species inhabits wide variety of habitats , soil types, though not tolerate strong shade.
