the history of world of krynn, , settings both novels , gaming supplements, split 5 separate ages. first age time of creation, when gods born , krynn formed. age of dreams, second age, marked rapid growth of world s first great civilizations , appearance of myriad new races. era marked 3 great wars between dragons , minions. following third dragon war, in age of might, cataclysm obliterates great empire of istar , changes entire surface of krynn. three-hundred year depression follows event, in called age of despair. period marks war of lance. when dragonlance first introduced dungeons & dragons, events such lost wars happened during age of despair. later age of mortals novels , game supplements took krynn fifth age (the age of mortals).
