in january 2016 iran air signed agreement 118 airbus aircraft, made of several different members of manufacturer s twin-engine product line , 12 a380s. on 22 december 2016, airbus announced smaller firm deal 100 aircraft, comprising 46 airbus a320 family , airbus a320neo family aircraft; 16 a350s; , 38 a330s , a330neos; no a380s ordered, after airline concluded iranian airports lack infrastructure handle them. in january 2017, airbus began delivery process, starting a321 followed 2 a330-200s, ordered , built avianca never delivered.
