lamington bridge low level bridge, designed inundation, , crosses mary river south of city of maryborough between ferry street in maryborough , gympie road in tinana.


it reinforced concrete structure comprising eleven spans of 15.2 metres clear or 16.6 metre centre centre of piers. bridge reinforced on both faces eleven rails, erected frames , bolted pier tops underneath concrete , spliced fishplates.

the bridge has solid deck, 6 metres wide, circular segmental soffit , depth @ centre of roadway varying in each span 3.4 0.51 metres. roadway camber 0.13 metres , there integral kerb @ each side. reinforcement consists of railway rails 92mm deep, 82.6 metre long lower flanges. there thirteen such rails running longitudinally in each face @ 610mm centre, clear cover of 170mm. top , bottom rails formed eleven frames, each bolted pier top. top member continuous on length of bridge, achieved fishplated connections.
