beginnings , capture , embrace (2004–2009)

the band formed in 2004. releasing ep indelible in may 2005. after touring u.s. west coast twice in 2006, quintet finalized debut album, inspiration, released in 2007 through rise records.

in 2008, prevails recorded sophomore album capture , embrace small independent label, rain city records. band teamed guitarist , producer beau burchell (of saosin) mix effort, band went on hiatus period after original drummer aaron marsh decided leave. parted ways guitarist under personal reasons . issues caused cancellation of tours ligiea, since flood, means , farewell freeway. capture , embrace not supported national tour, save brief west coast tour in 2009 before first european tour in august 2009.

findings ep , stroma (2009–2011)

after more line-up changes , relocation colorado, prevails announced, through official myspace page, addition of guitarist bobby valeu , drummer ian clark. announced release of 3-track ep, findings, , summer tour close eyes. followed uk , mainland european tour heart in hand.

coming uk in 2010, prevails teamed up-and-coming canadian acts counterparts , sight sewn eyes. resulted in prevails first tour of eastern canada in late 2010, during band shot music video song placed in hands. on way home canada, prevails shot music video anomaly outside of birmingham, alabama. in 2011 band signed deal mediaskare records, resulted in album entitled stroma, released on july 19, 2011.

demos , perdition (2011–present)

in 2011 , 2012, prevails released 3 new songs, announcing new album being written, entitled perdition. in april 2013, band added joe butler , nate george of agraceful new lead guitarist , drummer billy adams on bass.

the final mixing/tracking new album solidified , absolutely complete in october 2014, after 2 years since recording process began. band has hinted material favorite of 4 albums, more likely, last. ideas of final tour have been clued. on january 20th, 2015, band released fourth full-length album perdition.
