following italy s win @ junior eurovision song contest 2014, european broadcasting union had given italian broadcaster rai first refusal host 2015 contest. however, on 15 january 2015, rai declined right host contest. executive supervisor junior eurovision song contest, vladislav yakovlev, praised italian broadcaster rai time looking possibilities of hosting, though made debut appearance in 2014, , further explained how ebu in lucky position have received bids 2 countries.


the ebu announced later day had received bids 2 countries host contest; countries being bulgaria , malta, finished in second , fourth places respectively in 2014. bulgarian broadcaster bnt confirmed on 15 january had submitted bid host 2015 contest. national broadcaster malta, public broadcasting services (pbs), stated prior 2014 contest host again if won.


on 26 january 2015, announced bulgaria had been chosen host 2015 edition, took place on 21 november 2015. first time nation organised eurovision event. in march 2015, confirmed sofia host city, arena armeec being host venue.
