indie spotlight

in 2006, shocker toys started work on indie spotlight, line of six-inch action figures based on characters various independent comic book series. first series consisted of katchoo terry moore s strangers in paradise, scud , sol rob schrab s scud: disposable assassin, maxx sam kieth s series of same name, david mack s kabuki , 2 different versions of jim valentino s shadowhawk. small figurine of isz included each figure, other, character specific accessories. plans include comic book or poster packed in each figure, similar packaging of toybiz s marvel legends figures, announced later abandoned. shocker toys announced mail away figure of mr. gone maxx, available customers purchase 7 figures in first series. figure has yet made available, sculpt did appear @ 2010 toy fair.

at 2009 new york comic con, shocker toys had planned sell 2 translucent versions of then-forthcoming scud , maxx figures indie spotlight line. figures unavailable event, shipped out customers month later, starting on march 3, 2009. similar variant offered @ wizard world convention in philadelphia year, transparent maxx incorporating painted highlights. @ 2009 san diego comic-con, shocker toys offered figures based on forthcoming indie spotlight series 2 – black , white dick tracy figure , trench-coated variant. @ same event, convention exclusive mallows debuted, including dr. rockso, phantom, , sdcc guy.

convention exclusives have been sold through website, , unsold figures have subsequently been made available @ later conventions.

in 2009, shocker toys started new line of marshmallow themed figures called mallows. similar hasbro s mighty muggs , kidrobot s munny , dunny figures, mallows feature multiple points of articulation, interchangeable parts, , available in blank, black or white, do-it-yourself versions.
