in 1923 craig relocated queensland , took captain-coach position ipswich next 6 seasons. while queensland resident 1923–28 represented state on 23 occasions , in 1929 twice again represented new south wales.


in 1924 domestic ashes series against england craig named australian captain in 3 tests. again in 1928 played in 3 tests of domestic ashes series in sides led queensland rival tom gorman.


the last 2 seasons of craig s sixteen-year career western suburbs magpies. craig nswrl s top points scorer in seasons 1929 , 1930. captain-coach of side maiden title on st george in season 1930 in first ever grand final played determine premiership.
